Quarter Life Crisis on burning CDs with Mac OS X

Sven-S. Porst’s Quarter Life Crisis has an excellent article entitled “Mature Burning” on the deceptive “simplicity” of burning CDs (data or audio) with Mac OS X.
I especially agree with the comments about audio CD burning with iTunes. Even a (sort of) techno buff such as myself was fooled the first time. That stuff is simply bad UI.
I would also tend to add to this discussion by saying: No wonder Roxio’s Toast has been and remains so successful. It’s far from perfect, but it does a number of things right, including letting you know in a proper fashion when you need to insert or eject a blank CD-R.
And let’s not even get into the whole thing about multi-session CDs…
