The “fix” for the problem was actually quite deliberate on Microsoft’s part. Which makes the whole situation utterly ridiculous. These guys really are incompetent.
Something got fixed–but was it by Microsoft or Apple? And it’s definitely not enough.
It affects all applications, and the replacement keyboard (same model, wrong layout) has the same problem.
New computer, same problem with double keystrokes with Apple’s keyboard.
Fast and slick, but most importantly, amazingly quiet.
Do not create space between list items by adding empty paragraphs!
More user-hostile stuff from Adobe.

The red LED is back for good this time. Looks like a bad CPU unit to me.
You no longer need to use the atrocious MacLinkPlus Deluxe for this.
‘Cut’ command doesn’t work at all, ‘Copy’ and ‘Paste’ commands sort of work, and Esc doesn’t work as expected.
Repair shop swaps the logic board, and the machine is still freezing.
