Mac OS X: Another Mail annoyance

Go to Mac OS X’s Mail. Create a new message. Go to the body of the message. SELECT a signature in the Signatures pop-up menu on the right-hand side. Start typing.

Your typing will start after the signature text. Doh.

I suppose it means that Apple wants us to do things in one particular order: 1) Create new message. 2) Type body of message. 3) SELECT signature. 4) Send. If you swap step 2 and step 3, you get a painful reminder of Apple’s current lack of flexibility in software design.
