Mail needs a ‘Recent’ feature

In the same way that Mac OS X in general needs a decent “Recent” feature, which it still doesn’t have, but which can be reasonably approximated thanks to the “Recent” features Default Folder X, Mac OS X’s Mail application itself needs a decent “Recent” feature.

I constantly find myself wanting to view the contents of a mailbox that I viewed a few moments before — or to transfer a message to one of the mailboxes that I recently accessed.

I know Mail has a command to “Transfer to XXXX again” in the “Message” menu (“XXXX” being the very last mailbox used in a transfer) — but this is just the embryo of a decent “Recent” feature. We need something more comprehensive, that makes managing email more convenient.

We also need a list of “Favorites” within Mail itself, which would be favorite mailbox destinations.

I suppose some of this might be achievable through AppleScript scripts. I’ll have to look INTO this.
