This is all becoming very hard to believe… Colin Powell was interviewed (in English) on French TV last night, and he very clearly stated: “If Saddam Hussein fully disarms, we will leave.”

How can the US administration go about blatantly contradicting themselves in full impunity? It was just a few days ago that the White House very clearly stated that disarmament was not enough and that regime change in Iraq was required as well.

I cannot believe that professional journalists or other national leaders appear to be utterly unable to pick up on this and challenge US officials to come up with a clear and definitive statement on the subject.

The question is so simple: Do you want complete disarmament or regime change?

Make up your minds once and for all, for Pete’s sake.
