New rule for Betalogue: Readers cannot submit a comment without registering first

Due to recent comment spam woes, I have decided to adopt more stringent rules for user contributions. From now on, if you want to submit a comment on a blog item, you’ll have to register with Betalogue first, and the registration process will include an activation step.
I am sorry I have to impose such hassle on legitimate Betalogue readers, but this appears to be the only way to avoid having to deal with comment spam on a daily basis. Thanks for understanding.
As always, if you have any concerns about sharing your e-mail address with me, please refer to this post about Betalogue and your privacy.
