David Zeiler on people hacking iTunes 4

David Zeiler has another good column on recent events surrounding the release of iTunes 4 and its sharing abilities.

It contains further ridiculous statements by the afore-mentioned Hilary Rosen and slightly more reasonable comments by other music industry representatives.

Above all, it clearly demonstrates the great divide that still separates users and music lovers from the music industry. It just sounds as if imagining a music lover-friendly universe is mentally impossible for record company executives. As long as they don’t change their stance, they will remain irrelevant, and one hopes that technological advances will soon relegate them to the dustbin of history.
