With Arsenal unfortunately drawing at Aston Villa and Man U squashing Liverpool with the help of two Ruud penalties, it looks like this year’s Premiership will be a tight race to the finish line.

Arsenal and Man U are now level on points, with Arsenal topping their rivals on goal difference.

EPL Full Standing

Because of the FA Cup semi-final, we will not play next week and will have a game in hand, which is a mixed blessing. If Man U lose against Newcastle, we’ll be upbeat about our game in hand. If they draw or win, the pressure will be on us.

On paper, the remaining 6 fixtures will be easier for us than for Man U. But, as today’s game demonstrated, you can never be sure of anything.

Oh well. I guess it makes for good drama from a neutral point of view.
