Mac OS X 10.2.8 pulled

Apple appears to have pulled the recently released Mac OS X 10.2.8 UPDATE from its servers. It no longer appears in Software Update, and the web page for both the regular and the combo updaters states that the UPDATE is “temporarily unavailable“.

You’d think that, in this day and age, Apple would be more forthcoming about what the problem is and warn those who have already downloaded the UPDATE against installing it, if there is indeed a problem with it.

    Right. Thanks for the link.

But they could put a link this page on the page where it says that Mac OS X 10.2.8 is “temporarily unavailable”. It is, after all, the page that most web sites are likely to have linked to.
