The Leicester vs. Leeds game last night was fun to watch — although it would have been better with more opposition from the Leeds players.

The first couple of goals (in the space of 5 minutes) were outstanding. I have no doubt that Frenchman Nalis was a bit lucky in his half-volley, but it was still a marvelous strike. And Dickov’s chest control and low shot was way up there with the best technical feats in the EPL.

These two strikes appeared to stun Leeds, who failed to create anything noteworthy after that. In truth, they have a few players (Seth Johnson, Jody Morris, Gary Kelly, etc.) that simply don’t seem to have what it takes to play in this league. This makes the whole Leeds team structure very fragile, even though they have talented players up front (Viduka, Smith, Sakho). If I were a Leeds fan, I would be quite worried.

It was still pleasant to see the commitment of the Leicester players and the great support that they got from their home fans. Here’s hoping that they can avoid a nasty relegation fight this season.
