Virtual PC Microsofted

A telltale sign that becoming a Microsoft product has already irreparably damaged Virtual PC:
Welcome to the wonderful world of Microsoft-blessed technology, Virtual PC.
(In all fairness, the previous Virtual PC updater — version 6.0.1 — already came with the same requirement, even though Virtual PC 6 itself could be installed through a simple drag-and-drop from the install CD. I must say that the reason why an application can be installed through drag-and-drop but its updates require that the user quit all other applications is beyond me.)
