I guess there was really no other possible outcome… It was still disappointing to see Newcastle crumble so easily under the feet of the Ferguson machine.
The only (very minor) relief is that they got a goal back towards the end and managed to reduce the goal difference to 4… Still not very useful considering what’s coming up. Newcastle is effectively out of the running and it’s now us against them. Looks like the mid-week game at Highbury is going to be cru-cial.
