Finally got a chance to watch the “bonus DVD” that came with the latest Paul Weller album (Illumination).

Paul Weller is a cool cat. He looks and sounds terrific on the live tracks (although he’s stretching the lower end of his vocal range with “Standing Out In The Universe” a bit). The promo videos for It’s Written In The Stars and Leafy Mysteries are… well, promo videos :). At least he’s not taking them too seriously.

Amazing career he’s been having, really. from The Jam to The Style Council to this… I’m still in the process of absorbing it all. Lots of excellent, timeless music. I came to know his stuff in the mid-80s through The Style Council first… and I am only now catching up with the older Jam stuff.
