Numbers 1.0: Exporting as PDF fails to include headers/footers

Unless I am missing something obvious, the “Export” feature in Numbers 1.0 suffers from a rather glaring flaw.

If you have a footer or header for your sheets (visible and editable in Print View), when you try to export your Numbers document as a PDF file, the resulting PDF file fails to include the document’s headers/footers.

Fortunately, there is a workaround for this: You can use the “Save as PDF” feature inside the “Print” dialog box instead. The resulting PDF file will have a file name with a double extension (.numbers.pdf), but this can easily be fixed in the Finder.

This Apple Discussions thread discusses the issue.

It may or may not be related to the fact that Numbers is unable to export its headers and footers as headers and footers when converting to Excel format. (It exports them as body cells instead.)
