Mail 3.0: Now uses correct signature in replies

This was a bug in previous versions of Mail, and I wrote about it, so I should also mention that it now has been fixed.

When you reply to an e-mail sent to one of your e-mail accounts, Mail now automatically chooses the correct signature for the reply, i.e. the default signature for that account, and not the default signature for new messages, which is the default signature of the default account for new messages.

It’s sad that you have to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.5 to get this fix, but unfortunately these days Apple does not fix this type of bug in incremental system updates. You have to wait for the next big product cycle, and you have to pay for the new version to get the bug fixes along with the new features.
