Here’s what the main feedback page looks like on Apple’s web site as of May 31, 2006:

Based on this feedback page, Apple’s hardware offerings consist of only three product lines: the iPod, the PowerBook, and the Power Mac.

Never mind that the PowerBook was replaced by the MacBook Pro several months ago, and that neither the iMac nor the Mac mini fall under the “Power Mac” category! And it’s not just the main feedback page: If you follow the links, you are indeed taken to pages for feedback on the “PowerBook G4” and on the “Power Mac.”

Then, rather intriguingly, on the “PowerBook G4 Feedback” page, you get a drop-down pop-up menu where you can select among a wide array of Mac models, including… the Power Mac G4 and G5! The “Power Mac Feedback” page includes the exact same menu, so I guess you can use either page to submit feedback about any computer… except the MacBook, that is.

While the “MacBook Pro” is indeed listed as one of the options in the pop-up menu (you would never guess it’s the main product line now, though!), the new MacBook is not mentioned anywhere.

I guess it’s pretty safe to say that Apple is not particularly interested in your feedback on these products.

(I was visiting this page because I was looking for a way to submit feedback on iTunes. The feedback page in the iTunes section of Apple’s web site only allows you to request new music to be added to the store. Unfortunately, if you select “iTunes” on the main feedback page, in the “Software” section, you get taken to… the same “Request Music” page. So I guess they don’t want any feedback about iTunes itself or other aspects of the iTunes Music Store either.)
