Hardly

The Dec. 5, 2005 issue of The New Yorker contains a short story by Alice Munro titled “Wenlock Edge.”

On page 82, she writes: “They didn’t sleep hardly at all.

I can’t hardly believe my eyes :-(.

(Especially since hardly is used correctly four times elsewhere in the text.)
