This is a potent upgrade to an application that was already indispensable. What's more, it's obvious that it's only going to get better: future upgrades will take even better advantage of some of the powerful text-management capabilities of OS X. For those of you who might be thinking that the Mac OS X Spelling Panel has answered your prayers, and you don't need a third party cross-application spelling and text-management utility… think again. Under the hood of Apple's spelling technology is a sloppy mess with consequences that are bound to disappoint even the most casual user. Spell Catcher's functionality is vastly superior, but in any even it offers integration with the Spelling Panel (you can tell the Spelling Panel to use SC references), so it's not an either/or choice.
