Office 2004: Inspiring

Take a look at the Microsoft page providing a preview of what’s new in Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac OS X.

No screen shots.

No mention of Address Book or iCal integration.

No major new features detailed.

Just vague promises about integrated tools such as the “Office Project Center” that will save your time. If that “Project Center” is of the same caliber as the current “Project Gallery” — which each and every Mac Office user I know asks me to turn off as soon as I have installed the product — then 2004 is going to be a very exciting year indeed.

Microsoft marketing director Tim McDonough says, “We feel like we have a great grasp of what Mac users want.

Inspiring.

Yeah, I hustled over to their site to see what it was going to look like and… what? I have to go back and watch the keynote again? The video skipped out on me during that part.

Hey, Tim! We WANT some screen shots!
