Spell Catcher X and Microsoft Word’s Find dialog

I have finally been able to identify and reliably reproduce a bug that has been… bugging me for a long time.

When Spell Catcher X is on (i.e. the Input Menu is on “Spell Catcher”), if you invoke Microsoft Word X’s “Find” dialog and then type a word or string that contains an accented character in the “Find what” field, then as soon as you’ve typed the accented character, all keyboard shortcuts in that dialog cease to work: the Return key does not work as an equivalent for the “Find” button, the Escape key does not work as an equivalent for the “Cancel” button, etc.

The only solution is to use the mouse — or close the “Find” window with the mouse and then re-open it and try to use the shortcuts without typing anything new in the “Find what” field.

If the Input Menu is on a regular keyboard layout (“Canadian CSA” in my case), then the problem does not occur. It only occurs if “Spell Catcher” is used as the Input Method in the Input Menu.
