Mac OS X 10.2.4 and Input Methods

I can now confirm that there appear to be significant changes in 10.2.4 which break several things that applications such as Spell Catcher X rely on to work properly. I’ve reverted to 10.2.3 myself and, if you are using SCX or similar products (Grammarian, TypeIt4Me), I suggest you do NOT apply the 10.2.4 update.

The things that are broken in 10.2.4 relate to “input methods”, i.e. the things that are accessed through the menu with the flag icon (settings accessible in the “International” pref pane). If you don’t use this menu, then you probably don’t have to worry about installing 10.2.4. But if you do, beware.
